DailyBuzz Style 9x9 Challenge

Hello loves! As a participant in the DailyBuzz Style 9x9 Challenge, I was asked to produce a makeup look that can transition from day into night. Hope you enjoy!

This makeup look for day is a look I wear pretty much everyday to work. For this look, I started off by concealing my under eyes with MAC Studio Finish Concealer. I then covered other remaining blemishes with my Covergirl Concealer Stick. After that, I finished off my face to create a flawless look with Covergirl Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder. Next, I added MAC Blush in Peaches to my cheeks. On my eyelids, I went for a bare look with MAC Eyeshadow in Shroom. I highlighted my eyelid under my brow with Benefit High Brow. I then took my angled brush to create a cat-eye {a look I'm famous for} with MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. Lastly, I finished this look off with Loreal Voluminous Mascara on my lashes, and MAC Lipstick in Saint Germain on my lips. Super easy to do, and doesn't take me more than 5 minutes!

Now for this night look, I did not take off my previous makeup look, but simply added to it. I started off by adding more of my MAC Blush in Peaches to my cheeks, and then added some MAC Blush in Harmony to contour my cheekbones. Such a simple way you can add more drama for nighttime. Next, I took my MAC eye shadow in Carbon, and started applying it to my lower lid, on top of my cat eye. I filled my whole bottom lid with this black shadow, and then took my blending brush and blended the shadow into the eyeliner. {This is so it doesn't look so harsh, like Snooki!} After that I took a little bit of the black shadow and applied it under my bottom lashes, around half of the way. I then took another MAC eye shadow in Honey Lust which I applied over the black shadow and in the corner of my eyes. I then reapplied the Benefit High Brow to really add some drama to my eyes, and a little bit more mascara. Lastly, I applied my new MAC Lady Danger lipstick to my lips, with some MAC LipGlass in Vibrational on top. Voila! So easy!

{And if you are thinking to yourself, wow this girl has a lot of MAC, it's because I do!} ;)

*Makeup looks inspired by this, this, and this

Happy Monday!

  7. Great tutorial, I'm so ignorant about makeup! I still wear the same colors that a makeup artist chose for me for my wedding...almost nine years ago! Love that pink MAC lipstick although it would not look as pretty on me!

  21. Love both of these looks! I'm off to MAC online right now after seeing your "day" lipstick. I've been looking for a color just like that! I tried NARS Roman Holiday and it looks similar, but I'm still on the hunt!

  22. love the neutral look of the day time and the lady danger lipstick is perfect with that red coat!! thanks so much for posting this-I am pretty hopeless at makeup (the only thing I really experiment is lip color) and I am always too nervous to play around too much with eye shadow, but I think I will try this out!
