'Tis the season to give...#3

The last organization I will be featuring is one that I just participated in over the weekend, called...

This was probably one of the most fun events that I have volunteered at.
Every year, San Jose has this huge bike build {and I mean 2500 bikes, huge!}, where volunteers everywhere come to build new bikes of all kinds for deserving children. The most amazing thing? Most of these children receiving these bikes, have never had a bike before.

Their mission: Turning Wheels For Kids distributes bikes not only at the holiday but also year round through a number of partnerships focused on preventing childhood obesity and supporting low-income families.

Here are some snapshots from the event:

Is that not an amazing site to see?
Me selling biking gear and bracelets!
Me having a little too much fun. Can I take that bike home please?

Now, how YOU can help:

With just $1, you can help towards building bikes for children.
If you can donate more, fabulous! The more the merrier.
Create memories, give "first bike stories", end childhood obesity.

Thanks for allowing me to take some time away from the typical fashion posts to share some organizations that are dear to my heart. Hope you find one that touches your heart also. :)

I've got 2 more finals, and this girl is donezo for the semester, and on to winter break!
